Life is not meant to be lived alone. In fact, God clearly tells us in His Word that it is "not good". You were created to experience life with other people, and that's why at First Baptist Church Columbia, we encourage you to get involved in one of our many Sunday School Classes or Small Group ministries. No matter where you are in life, there's a group for you.
At FBC, our heart's desire is to be a place "Where Real People Do Real Life - Together." Reach, our mid-week, casual, come as you are, time for connecting, encouraging and worshiping and oftentimes, eating! We meet upstairs at 6:00 PM. There is no particular age group -- if you are a young adult or young at heart, we'd love to see you there!
FATHERS IN THE FIELD
We are grateful for our partnership with an organization called Fathers in the Field. It's mission is to rekindle and establish the spirit of boys who are don't have a father figure in their lives; mentoring them one-on-one in life skills through outdoor activities, and by sharing a Christian understanding of our Heavenly Father's love and sacrifice for us.

Wednesday Night Discipleship
Women's Mission Union
At First Baptist Church Columbia, we believe that every member of our church is a minister. When you chose to follow Christ, you were given special gifts and abilities to use in building up His Church. Having a passion for specific things, people or circumstances can help guide you into ministries you really care about. Through our classes and small groups, you will learn about opportunities to use your abilities, gifts, and passions to see which ministry you will love to be a part of. There are multiple opportunities to serve within own Church body, our community, and even the world at large. There are many ways to serve in programs like Vacation Bible School, Children’s Programs and Camps, XChange, Youth Retreats, Short Term Mission Trips, and so much more. We are honored to be His hands and feet by ministering to our community by assisting foster families with critical needs, helping families during the Christmas season, participating in Operation Christmas Child, collecting goods for shelters and food pantries, and the list goes on and on.
