Our Weekly Services
While we offer opportunities throughout the week to worship and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ, we hold two primary worship services where our entire congregation gathers to worship God through prayer, Scripture reading, singing, preaching, and observing the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. These services take place Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. and Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m. You can read more about them below, and if you’re visiting for the first time, we’d love to help you plan your visit.
Sunday Morning Worship
Sundays 11:00am
The purpose of our service is to lift up the name of Jesus in song and to dig into God’s word. Come as you are to worship the Lord. A typical service will last about 1 hour & 15 minutes. We sing a mix of contemporary and traditional music that is led by our worship team and choir. Please hang around after the service to meet and connect with the wonderful people of our church. If you are a first-time guest we have gift for you. Just fill out the guest card in the seat back and bring it to our guest services table at the back of the sanctuary.
ConnectPlus (Children’s Church)
Sundays 11:00am
ConnectPlus (Children’s Church) is offered in the children’s hall during the morning worship service for children age 3 through 2nd grade. It begins directly after Connect Groups.
Sunday Night Worship
Sundays 6pm
Life is hard, and we have so many responsibilities to take care of throughout the week. There is nothing more refreshing than gathering with brothers and sisters in Christ on Sunday evenings before heading back into our daily mission fields across the community. This service has a more relaxed atmosphere, and we dive into various studies and address important topics to equip and encourage each other.
Wednesday Night Activities
Wednesdays 6pm
First Baptist Church is the place to be on Wednesday nights. Starting at 4:45, we serve the best meal you’ll find in Columbia for just $4 ($3 for kids), followed by Bible studies and activities for all ages at 6 p.m.
